Sheer and blending but with a slight yellow hue
In certain lighting, it can look a little yellowish. I expected this foundation to add color and make the skin look more even. Topped it off with Geller’s blush and my usual blush. At my age, I prefer a little more color and can do without looking a little yellowish. ;) Otherwise, I’m impressed with the products and would probably buy again but maybe a different shade.

Orange
I ordered Fair after numerous YouTube videos and online research. I am light with olive/grey undertones. I am never the lightest shade in foundations. So all pointed to Fair. It is a beautiful foundation. However it literally turned me so orange I looked like an oompa loompa! I have tried more foundations than I can count and this has NEVER happened. Sure some have oxidized a little bit but never oompa loompa status. I have exchanged for porcelain. Fingers crossed this works as Laura Geller customer service suggested this shade. I have a hunch it just won’t work on olive/grey undertone, we shall see!

Matte finish
This powder has a very matte finish. If you are looking for something with more illumination to hide imperfections I would recommend the “Glow” variety instead.

Darker coverage as you build
Love the build ability and look it gives my skin. However, light is too dark. I’m a light skinned girl with a hint of a tan and freckles. I’m usually porcelain in the winter and light to medium in the summer. So, with being lightly tanned and looming throught the provided photo recommendations I went with the Light Baked and Brighten foundation. It is definitely beautiful and provides buildable coverage, but as it builds it gets darker and darker. My face no longer matched the rest of my body. I would have loved to be able to build coverage and keep the same shade. I saw you could return for a different shade but am unable to find that as am attainable option. Definitely go with the lightest shade of your skin tone as it will build darker in my experience. I’m willing to try again but wish I could trade instead of wasting an almost new product because the tone isn’t correct from low to high coverage after building.

Great for getting even skin
I am so happy to have found this. It really evens out my skin. I gave it 4 stars because it seems to bring out some of the minor wrinkles I have on my face. It’s probably not noticeable to others but to me it’s quite pronounced. I will continue to buy it and highly suggest it. I’m 50.

Great for covering up redness and evening out skin tone
I like this product. I have a very tough situation, in that I need a product that will cover redness, broken capillaries, large pores and acne scars. I need something that can tackle all this. Laura Geller Baked Balance-n-Brighten does just that, and it doesn’t feel heavy at all. I only needed to use minimal coverup. I am a 65 year old great grandmother, and I love this foundation!

Love the compact as it is convenient. I keep it at home/don’t carry it so it won’t break-up.I’ve been using it for a few wks & got a unsolicited compliment from a friend about my skin & how I was, “Looking good.”I thanked her & wondered what I was doing differently & then remembered I’d given this face powder a try… so my spirits are lifted. It’s amazing how one compliment can change how you feel about yourself.

I have never been so happy with any kind of full face coverage!!!!
I bought this on a whim after seeing it on IG. I do not like to wear foundation all over my face. I only liked to use concealer and powder on my dark undereye circles, and on sun spots and temporary blemishes. I would think I looked good inside, but once outside, I could always see the spots where I’d applied the concealer. This is the perfect solution! I don’t have to use any foundation or concealer if I don’t want to. I just use this powder all over, and it pretty much smoothes out my complexion all on its own. I do use a little concealer on blemishes and under my eyes when I really want to look great, but for every day, I only use my Laura Geller. I’m so glad I decided to give it a try!!!!

Love this foundation but I can’t find my color match
I really love this foundation’s finish but I can’t find a color match. The Porcelain was way to light for me and had a very silver look finish on me and this is the shade fair and it’s way too tan for me. I left my neck bare so you can see. I really like this formula because it’s super easy to apply. The formula doesn’t accentuate my dry patches of skin. I am 38 with combo skin but winters here in Colorado are harsh so I have dry flakey skin and this was perfect for that problem so I was hoping to find my color. ? super sad I can’t find a match hopefully they will make more shade options in the future because I love this foundation.

Love the lightweight feel. It looks very natural. Doesn’t settle in any small lines or wrinkles. Very easy and quick to apply. Also, very importantly, at the end of the day it washes off completely.

Decent coverage
Since Covid lockdown & retirement I drastically cut back on my makeup use. This has pretty good lightweight coverage, but for my age skin I still need to use a cover stick in spots first. Based on the demo videos I watched, this is why I only gave it 4 stars. Other than that I am happy with the product.

Mostly hype
I am now in my mid 40s, so makeup is getting tricky. I found rave reviews about this powder foundation on social media and wanted to give it a whirl. The coloring is a bit too orange for me, but the next lighter shade is too light.It does go on nicely with a dense foundation brush, has a decent finish (not matte not shiny), and feels as though you have nothing on the skin. It does transfer and doesn’t provide much coverage for blemishes and redness.There are probably better powder foundations out there.************ Added 11/2/22************I received a message from the seller offering a full refund. I took the offer, received my refund, and purchased the next lighter foundation (Fair). It is a bit too light, but between using both Fair and Light I can get a decent match. There still isn’t much coverage, but it does the job to take away bit of redness and unevenness without putting on a full face of makeup. I am keeping the review at 3 starts, but wanted to let other know the company is making efforts to make sure customers are happy

Not what I expected
It’s just like having a light powder. To me the coverage is not good. Especially when its advertised as such. I am disappointed for it to be a foundation .

Coverage is just ok. But it really makes my eyes hurt if the least bit gets in them. And it takes awhile for it to subside.

Pleasantly Surprised!!!
I usually have issues using any powdered products on my 65 year old face. Usually they add it any creasing I have and not the look I’m going for. However I happened to see ? this product advertised and decided to give it a try, and boy oh boy I’m happy I did. This stuff never sets in a face with fine lines and wrinkles. Goes on light, blends well and hides and blemishes and uneven skin tones. I’m not a big “make-up girl” so I use my daily cream that has a light rose tint, a Loreal product I’ve used since it first appeared on the market. I then use one swipe of lipstick on each cheek, blend with my finger tips and then apply this product and I’m good. I’ve had many compliments on my skin so this product is a keeper.

A little too sheer
The media could not be loaded.
I DO like this product. It’s weightless and doesn’t crease, which is awesome. However, as I’ve aged, my skin has some redness that it still doesn’t truly cover. I’m still using my go-to Tarte shape tape for concealer and some of the harsher red areas of my fair, and then this goes everywhere else. I like that it’s blend-able, but I feel that I’m using WAY too much product at one time to get any coverage. It’s really great for a natural glow and would be perfect for someone with very few skin issues. If you want anything more than sheer coverage, this isn’t for you.

Drying to the skin – need to use a lot
I found this to be drying to my skin and that I had to go over and over to get decent coverage – definitely not just a few swipes. So for the price, I would not buy again. I normally use Avon minerals and a kabuki brush and it works better for me. Not as drying – better coverage.

It is too sheer. Did half my face with L G & half with Bare Essentuals that I have used for years. Couldn’t tell I had used anything on the L G side of my face.

As a woman in her 60’s who has always worn minimal makeup it was becoming harded to hide the age spots & rosacea that pops up. This makeup covers everything in one fail swoop! If you have a particular troublesome area you can build in just these areas. The color match (fair) was perfect. You must get the kabuki brush as it blends the makeup perfectly! So glad I found this~~~I highly recommend this product!!! Trying the lipstick next!

This is my new go to. I have bought several Laura Geller products now and am impressed with all of them. I love the coverage. Does not cake and stays put all day long. Looks just as good eight hours later as it did when you put it on. Definitely my new favorite!

A worthwhile investment
I no longer wear liquid foundation. I wanted to buy something to replace my empty container of Bare Minerals. This looked great on the video provided. When I first applied it I thought it did nothing and was going to return it. The next day I used it on half of my face, and then compared, and I am keeping this product. It is easy, sheer and works well to conceal without leaving lines.

Light weight that actually covers
This is the first powder concealer that actually covers and evens out skin tone. I have tried so many kinds of foundation and nothing compares to this. I hate the feeling of liquids that just make my face feel dirty, clog my pores and set in wrinkles. This powder made my face look like I was air brushed. Absolutely love it and will be throwing all of my old foundations away. I rarely leave reviews and found this worthy.

I love this stuff! It is so quick to put on, and makes my skin look “awake” and sort of dewy. (My menopause skin was starting to get sort of dry and very dull looking but this 100% counters that.) It also lasts all day despite feeling lightweight. Highly recommend!

Alternative for foundation
I like this for winter use. I get dry skin with the cold weather and foundation irritates it. This does not.

Impressive matt coverage.
I rarely wear much make up. Just turned 50 and I’m aware that my skin is kinda blotchy and uneven in places. On a whim bought this foundation and I’m very impressed. Found a manky old brush to apply it quickly and loved how smoothly it went on and it’s also somewhat buildable. I’ve now ordered the retractable kabuki brush.In pic I’m only wearing moisturizer and foundation. No powder. I love it.

Good
I love Laura Gellar and this is a great powder. I have been getting fine lines around my eyes in the last year and the powder sets in them if I apply too much. I tend to have drier skin and more in the winter so I’m actually putting this away until summer. A great product but be careful if you are on the drier side or have fine lines.

Not for mature skin in my opinion
This product goes on really nicely and covers well, but I disagree with many of the other reviews that say it doesn’t accentuate winkles. I think it does. I am a foundation wearer and see the clear difference between how my liquid foundation looks over my wrinkles and this powder. This product makes my face look dryer and older. I used their primer with it, as well. Too bad because I love the application. I am going to give to my daughter with her younger skin, as I think she will like it, but its not for me. I wish I had read this exact review before purchasing, so hope it helps someone else.

I was amazed at how a quick powder covered many of my multiple skin pigment issues. It isn’t a replacement for my camouflage makeup, but I use it for quick trips because it’s so much faster and light. It will always be in my makeup case.

Not the miracle they claim it to be
I had been seeing tons of ads pop up for this foundation so I caved and ordered some. The shade I got was porcelain. I’ve been having a hard time finding good foundation that doesn’t turn orange or yellow on me. The color match was perfect for my skin tone and it definitely gives off luminous glow. I applied it with a compact kabuki brush in a pressing motion as they suggest on the videos. To my surprise it looked and felt great! It wasn’t until I took a sip from a water bottle and some dribbled down my chin that I became not so impressed with the foundation anymore. I looked in the mirror and exactly where the small amount of water had run down my chin the makeup was completely gone. It left hilarious naked water streaks down my mouth and chin. This stuff comes off SO easily. If you were to get watery eyes or sweat or caught in the rain or anything of that nature it will wash right off. I reapplied multiple layers over my chin again to cover it up which took a while. After doing some shopping I came back home and looked at how the foundation had held up during my errands. It had settled into wrinkles I didn’t even know I had. So yeah, I’ll probably wear this stuff if I’m in a rush and don’t want to leave the house looking like a bridge troll but I most likely won’t be restocking once it all gets used up.

As a special effects creator I love good products that feel natural and easy to apply. I was amazed at how easy this goes on and is even better than the mineral makeup I have been using for 15 years faithfully. Smooth and blends will with bronzer/blush and stayed on all night. I didn’t even need a concealer under it, just brushed on an GO! Definitely willing to try other products made by this designer.
